Re: DirSizeCalc Charts 1.10 (Lister plugin)
I'm afraid I don't see how Everything can help me.
My understanding is that Everything is a search tool,
While I would like to have a quick and easy way in TC (eg. CTRL-Q), to see how much space the files and subfolders within the current folder use up.
DirSizeCal Charts does sort of what I'm after, except that this plugin is no longer maintained (I would like the background colour to be adjusted to the theme I'm using in TC, rather than bright white)
A pity such feature is not natively in TC, as it would be a great addition.

And you want that to be graphical, like in DirSizeCalc Charts - it is not enough to have the <DIR> in the file panel replaced by the size of the folder and it's subfolders?I would like to have a quick and easy way in TC (eg. CTRL-Q), to see how much space the files and subfolders within the current folder use up.

Re: DirSizeCalc Charts 1.10 (Lister plugin)
I have my view in Brief, and tried using the built-in options that way. Managed to get quite far and workable, but stuck with a few final steps to polish it off.petermad wrote: 2024-11-05, 23:21 UTC An you want that to be graphical, like in DirSizeCalc Charts - it is not enough to have the <DIR> in the file panel replaced by the size of the folder and it's subfolders?
- Created Custom Columns - inc. [=dirsizecalc.Size] and [=dirsizecalc.File Count]
- but unfortunately you can't add formulas like [=dirsizecalc.File Count]/[=dirsizecalc.Size] - but this is not critical
- Created new View Mode - with above column view and incl. cm_SwitchDirSort
- but cm_SwitchDirSort is a switch, and you can't explicitly state cm_SwitchDirSort[on] of cm_SwitchDirSort[off]
- and I can't get a hotkey for changing my custom view

I was not referring to using Custom Columns with Dirsizecalc - I was just suggesting to use normal Full View and then either press Alt+Shift+Enter to have the dirsizes shown in the Size column or set it up automatically via: "Configuration" -> "Operation" -> "Calculate space occupied by subdirectories" -> And use the combobox under 'Everything' to set for example "Automatic, local drives only". But in order to speed that up it is HIGHLY recommended that you install 'Everything' (preferable as a service) https://www.voidtools.com/
You can see how smooth it works here: https://tcmd.madsenworld.dk/dirsize.mp4

Re: DirSizeCalc Charts 1.10 (Lister plugin)
ah thanks, I will start playing with that.
Re: DirSizeCalc Charts 1.10 (Lister plugin)
I have used it, but it is not the ideal solution for me. It also means having to run another program on the background, just for getting the answer for a particular folder I'm currently focussed on.
The benefit of DirSizeCal is just a quick button (CTRL Q) to get the answer. Just wished I could change the background/text colour to match my TC colour scheme (dark mode).

Re: DirSizeCalc Charts 1.10 (Lister plugin)
Just wanted to reask, in case someone has a way to find out how to get DirsizeCal Charts adjusted to dark theme?
Everything is working fine, and based on the earlier comment above, I have actually started actively using it, so thanks for that tip.
Unfortunately it is not the ideal solution for a quick hotkey (ctrl-q), so see files and folders combinedly sorted on size, as DirDizeCalc Charts does.
Was hoping for something native within TC, but understand this is not on the cards.

Re: DirSizeCalc Charts 1.10 (Lister plugin)
You can configure the HTMLView plugin to show the dir list in quick view.
This can also be sorted by clicking on the headers.
You can even go down by clicking on folder entries.
