Problem with License key
I'm experiencing a problem with my key file.
I bought it a couple of years ago and it worked fine until I upgraded to 6.03. After I upgraded, I get the shareware screen when I start the program. Same problem happens after upgrading to 6.5.
I have tried uninstalling and installing from a fresh download and I have tried installing on a completely fresh installation of Windows XP (US) SP2, but with the same result.
I have talked to the regional reseller and he has even got me a new key after the release of 6.5, but still the same.
Anyone have a clue what could be wrong?

The key is in the correct folder (C:\Program Files\totalcmd).
I tried adding KeyPath just for the heck of it, but still the same.
I doubt that my key is blacklisted, since the regional reseller just had a new one generated for me.

I don't get a new key generated whenever I want.
When I started having problems, I discussed the issue with the regional reseller, and after having tried everything he could think of, he had me a new key generated. Hence I have 2 keys, my first key from a couple of years ago and a new one generated less than a week ago.

hello
according to this thread in the german forum you should send your key for checking (or changing an adress) to newkey(at)ghisler.com

Actually it is, if the process of communication between the reseller and the author was "problematic" in whatever content.solsen wrote:The discussion here really isn't who can generate a key or not.
I do remind you again what franck8244 said about C. Ghisler being the only one responsible for generating a key file.
You acted well by contacting Christian Ghisler directly. I'm sure your problem will be dealt more appropriately now!
