Feature request: Possibility to cancel Ctrl B

Yes it's not true and that is because I was meant to say, "execute an action (i.e. a TC internal command)" other than a "file operation". Sorry, my mistake!

But anyway, with the new version of TC you would probably be able to make your wish come true. Either directly (based on the way the new save/restore selection system will work) or at least with two keyboard shortcuts.

Dont know if I got it right, but if you press again [Ctrl]+ you are in the folder of the file where the cursor is upon. But not selected of course.

Umm, by the way, in zip files, branch view does not work the expected way: when pressing ctrl-b in a folder in a zip file, not only the files under the folder are shown, but all files contained by the zip file. Then pressign ctrl-b again, the cursor does not remain on the selected file, but in the folder containing the file. Better than before

To repeat a very good question:

Aaahhhhh.....

Thanx, i had missed that..... That's a new in TC 6.50... A nice one, although i would prefer it to work like it used to, and have a different keystroke to lead you to the selected file (like ctrl+right arrow, or ctrl+pgdn perhaps...). There are cases i just browse through the list and i wish to return to the dir i was with CTRL+B, not 7 levels below

This is what Ctrl-Left/Right is for.

Example

Left: C:\
Right D:\MyPath

I press CTRL+B in the right panel, then if press...

Ctrl-Left: It sets D:\MyPath in left panel
Ctrl-Right: It sets C:\ in right panel

What i wanted is to return to D:\MyPath in the right panel, nomatter what file i've selected (like it worked in pre-6.50 versions). The way it is now, i have to go to the top of the list (by pressing Home) and then press Ctrl-B... IMHO, it would be simpler if you should press something else (i.e. CTRL+PgDn) to go to the selected file otherwise if you pressed CTRL+B, it would return you to the path in which you were before pressing CTRL+B. Anyway, IMHO, its another questionable change in TC's behavior (like the change i mention in http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=6011&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0).
