can someone write a lister viewer for .lbm files
(used in SKVM programming)

It supports SK-VM LBM file format.
(Read&Write with transparency)

you just saved me 2 hours of workign with terrible lbm viewers... :)

do you know btw if there is a plugin for msPaint to edit lbm files?

Maybe Paint.NET (Opensource) is worth a look for you.
Their webpage does not reveal if the lbm-format is supported though.

Paint.NET requieres WinXP, it won't run on Win9x/ME.

I did'nt know that (did'nt try this app yet).
Yeah, this kinda sucks. Makes it a "no go" in my book.
