If the settings aren't commented anymore, noone will be able to adjust them accordingly, so as long as it's not possible to do everything in the GUI
There are almost all in GUI. Except:

- ShowNames: but it's mentioned in FAQ.txt
- BrowseCmd: but it's obvious how to change it

Edit: BrowseCmd is now don't mentioned anywhere. But does anybody needs it?
I may include it to FAQ.

I found this on Polish site:

TC Plugins Info
File contains description of Total Commander plugins and addons. Most of descriptions are in English language.
http://en.totalcmd.pl/download/doc/doc/TC_Plugins_Info

Is it full database of all TC plugins? If yes, then can I plug it to Plugman somehow? Maybe to show descriptions, maybe to show download links...

No, it's not a database, it's catalog of HTML pages of plugins compiled into CHM.
Not useful...

Hi,

is %COMMANDER_INI% (introduced in TC 6.55+) already supported in your tool? It could really simplify the configuration of you program.

Oh, thanks for remindering Lefteous.
No not yet.

But I think it's not so must-have thing this Commander_INI, because e.g. "UseIniInProgramDir" key is also not supported. :)

I'll add C_INI detection. I plan to update TCPM when first TC 7 beta will popup to public, not earlier.

Well ok but did you know that all you have to do is expand this string and you are done? You don't have to mess around with UseIniInProgramDir or stuff. Actually %COMMANDER_INI% is the only "easy" and reliable way to detect wincmd.ini location for an application.

One German user was abused because of that Languages.txt. I published his e-mail there and it was private as I understood. So I got an angry e-mail...

Thanks for the update! :-)

1. Redirection doesn't work me. No plug-ins are listed. I didn't set AlternateUserIni but redirected all my plug-in sections to another ini file (Plugins.ini).

2. A minor glitch. It seems you are using short file names to restart TC.

3. Why do you use subdirectories for each plug-in type? Is there any setting in TC that controls if this is done?

1. Lefteous, please e-mail me your TC ini, maybe some weird redir scheme is used there?

Or post here RedirectSection= strings, I want ot look at them.

2. Yes

3. They are used when new plugin is installed from zip. Do you suggest to not use them? Do I need to drop all stuff to one common folder (%Commander_path%\Plugins for example)?

I already described my settings. It looks like this:
Wincmd.ini

Code: Select all

[ListerPlugins]
RedirectSection=Plugins.ini
They are used when new plugin is installed from zip. Do you suggest to not use them? Do I need to drop all stuff to one common folder (%Commander_path%\Plugins for example)?
Well I guess every user has its own preference. I just wondered if there is setting in TC :?:
