Well ok but did you know that all you have to do is expand this string and you are done? You don't have to mess around with UseIniInProgramDir or stuff. Actually %COMMANDER_INI% is the only "easy" and reliable way to detect wincmd.ini location for an application.
v1.8.7 beta (06/11/06)
- Note: Executable and configuration files renamed from TC_Plugman.* to Plugman.* - Support for Total Commander 7 feature: using "RedirectSection" key in wincmd.ini
you can move some parts of ini file to another files<--- please test
- Support for %COMMANDER_INI% variable
- Path to WinRAR.exe can now be saved with env variables
- Removed support for external TC restarters

One German user was abused because of that Languages.txt. I published his e-mail there and it was private as I understood. So I got an angry e-mail...
1. Redirection doesn't work me. No plug-ins are listed. I didn't set AlternateUserIni but redirected all my plug-in sections to another ini file (Plugins.ini).
2. A minor glitch. It seems you are using short file names to restart TC.
3. Why do you use subdirectories for each plug-in type? Is there any setting in TC that controls if this is done?

1. Lefteous, please e-mail me your TC ini, maybe some weird redir scheme is used there?
Or post here RedirectSection= strings, I want ot look at them.
2. Yes
3. They are used when new plugin is installed from zip. Do you suggest to not use them? Do I need to drop all stuff to one common folder (%Commander_path%\Plugins for example)?

Well I guess every user has its own preference. I just wondered if there is setting in TC
