Extended Menus for TC 7.57a ver. 3

Anyway - I expect that a fair amount of the items in the Windows XP submenu also works in Vista and Win7 - so if only someone with one or both of those two OS's would make a list of the items that does NOT work, then I could at least make supplemental versions of my menus where the non-working items are removed for Vista / Win 7.

I just have done a small overview over your extended Menus for TC7.55.
Since your Buttonbars, Menus and Commands only supports XP -but not Vista and Win7,
some Icons in the Buttonbar are missing and indicates that are non funtional (Win 7):

There is a Menu-item for Windows Fax and Image viewer,
I am missing the parameters for the file under cursor there
(Just a matter of taste and can be added manually,
just a suggestion from me)

I love the new Lister-Item in the menu !

When you recognize missing or non working Items in the extended Menus from petermad,
please ask (here, or in a new thread, or in the TC-Wiki) excactly what it is.
Or even better, you repair it by yourself and search the internet for Windows7 RunDLL32-Commands:

One can search on the own Machine for *.cpl -files, for the Windows-Games or for "defrag".

Some programms like TweakUI, INTEL Grafix, Java or Quicktime didn't show up, because it isn't installed.

Indeed TweakUI, INTEL Grafix, Java or Quicktime are third party programs that doesn't come with Windows.

Windows 7 is a new Os and has no service packs for it,
Whats a service pack --- Many bugs are fixed and new features
are added.
Win Xp SP3 had bug fixes over 800 ----

Therefore u move to vista which has Sp2 released

Most TC plugins support auto installation, just double click on the plugin archive and TC will ask you to install it.

Just double-click on the downloaded zip file while you are in TC, Then autoinstallation should begin, if you haven't changed the setup of autoinstallation.

Sorry - no support for Windows 7 items yet - it is not doable without having a running version at hand.

I have a simple question, what is the best way to use this plugin?

Does it have to be installed? Or one can simply overwrite wcmd_eng.lng with wcmd_ext1_eng.mnu and restart?

I ask because I use my own wcmd_eng.lng so I guess it would interfere with the one that comes with the plugin?

mmm, ok I installed it. Of course it does not overwrite my wcmd_eng.lng, but TC is using the one in the plugin I guess, so the effect of my wcmd_eng.lng is gone.

For the record, I use it only to disable &R and &C, its just this:
English
1147="Remove current dir"
1148="Configure..."

So, I guess I'll just change those entries in wcmd_ext1_eng.lng and the effect would be the same...

Impressive effort. Highly recommended for new users to make them familiar with what tc can do. May be overwhelming at first (with all those commands) but it paints a good picture of what's under the hood.
