Post by *Motorocker »

Help wrote:Clicking on a part of the path while holding down the Shift key will switch directly to that directory. Example: The current dir is c:\windows\system, and you shift+click on "windows". This will switch directly to c:\windows.
Work only in active panel.

Yes, this is intentional, so you don't by mistake change directory when you just want to focus the other panel...

If InplaceRenamePath=2 is set, it makes sense, maybe, but not for InplaceRenamePath=1.

Why would anyone press Shift "by mistake" when he just wants to focus the other panel?

may be it should appear in tool tip for novice users when moving cursor on that area? or should be "tips and tricks" on startup?

With any luck it'll appear in the TC-Wiki, if it's not there already.
Write up a note yourself, eh?

Because it may be accidental. It's tricky finding a 'neutral' area in the inactive panel so you wouldn't want it to be too sensitive.
In fact, that now alerts me to a neutral area that I may not have realised before existed.
