Request:Displaying the "real" folder icon (and doc

Post by *zeflash »

Yes, I'm back with my request.
I still feel that TC having its own personal icon lib to display default icons for exe, documents or folder is the wrong way to do it.

Instead it should give us the choice - an option to recreate its icon cache with the default window's icons at that moment.
Find out what's the icon used for the folder, copy that icon in the icon cache, do that for the other icons... that would make so much more sense.

I'm sure I'm not the only one wishing that would happen! Please back me up on this one.

BTW: If you select read-only or hidden or system for a folder then TC retrieves the system-specific icon for that folder.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

zeflash has started a thread about default windows icons a while ago. The thread went offtopic and he decided to start a new one.

What is a system-specific icon for a folder? It can be directory-specific (this can be shown by setting those attributes) or it can be the systemwide default icon (for a folder).

Oh OK, sorry.

The icon you see in Explorer. :) (I wanted to say something like specified by system.)
