[TC 8.x, 9.x, 10.0] Ctrl+A = freeze TC for a minute once
I have old configed XP SP3 x86 virtual machine. Vhd file is untouched for some years (undo disk and snapshots makes me happy), so it's good place to test lots of soft there.
But since TC 8.x or 9.x (can't remember in details, no matter now) I get TC frozen for each Ctrl+A (select all) since reboot. Any TC version, any physical PC, any version of MS Virtual PC or Oracle VirtualBox for years. Furthermore, I use Num* to select all more often then Ctrl+A, but laptop keyboard makes me not happy and now Ctrl+A returns to me..
Please, could you check or fix that?
P.S.
I can upload my test vhd anywhere (~300 MB in 7z), as you wish, so you can reproduce that on actual VirtualBox version (with VB addons or not - no matter).
PPS
I clearly remember there was no bug on old version, that existed on the year I began to use my vhd file. The bug came some years later. But vhd is still the same, no byte was modified.

I cannot reproduce that. WHERE do you press Ctrl+A? In a file list, in an edit box, in Lister, in synchronize dirs, compare by content etc.?
Tested all of the above on Windows XP x86 in VirtualBox, no freezes so far.

Just in any file list. No need to sync, f3, etc...
I'll try to show later.

1. Does it happen when you disable icons for files in Configuration - Options - Icons?
2. Do you use one of the new functions to automatically show folder sizes (Configuration - Options - Operation)?

I've tested on fresh empty ini, nothing changes. First Crtl+A after TC start still freezes it until exit.
Here s video from my VBox XP: https://www48.zippyshare.com/v/pOHY3BqP/file.html
As you see, menu function does NOT freeze TC, but only Ctrl+A does.

I have a Windows XP x86 PC, and I cannot reproduce this with TC 10.00 - therefore I would have liked to see the video.

Re: [TC 8.x, 9.x, 10.0] Ctrl+A = freeze TC for a minute once
Please try assigning Ctrl+A manually to cm_SelectAll in Configuration - Options - Misc.
I do some extra checks in my own Ctrl+A handler which are not really necessary. I will remove them if it works with the manual assignment.
If it doesn't, then some other program must be intercepting Ctrl+A which then tries to access TC, e.g. some sort of translation tool.

If use CA it cause lag, cm_SelectAll or menu does nothing.

OK, if you get the error again, try assigning Ctrl+A manually to cm_SelectAll. Reason: cm_SelectAll does the same as the menu item "Select all".

I can upload my vhd if that can help.
There's clean XP sp3 rus without any software, even without TC.
100% reproductive environment.
Do you need it?

Unfortunately I cannot run VHDs because they need Hyper V, which causes big troubles with both Virtualbox and the Android emulator.
Have you tried my suggestion?

I've got a minute to access to my PC.
[Shortcuts]
C+A=cm_SelectAll
really helps to fix freezing.
