[BUG 11.50ß8] Error during testing a zip Archiv

Hello all,

would like to report, if you´re testing a ZIP Archiv using Alt-F and then T with every ZIP Archiv you´re getting the error
message,

Explorer:
Pack method not supported, file wget.exe cannot be unpacked.

PS1: It is looks like TC try to unpack and fail, but i would like only test the file

PS2: my testfile is this one:

https://eternallybored.org/misc/wget/releases/wget-1.21.4-win64.zip

it is reproducible at any time.

The Archiv isnt defect.

Confirm that.
TC 11.03 gives the same error (both 32 and 64 bit).

Confirmed. This also occurs in TC 11.03 and 11.02, but it works properly in 11.00; I didn't check in 11.01. It's interesting that entering the archive and extracting the wget.exe works without issues.

Not a bug, just a warning that the file could not be unpacked by Explorer.

If you don't want this warning, open wincmd.ini via menu Configuration - Change settings files directly, look for the heaader

and add the following line below it:
ZipTestWarnExplorer=0

into:

Warning:
Incompatible pack method, file wget.exe may not unpack with Explorer.

Thanks for looking this up and thanks for the information.

Btw, as already noted by white, the message is not clear for the user.

Adding this line:
ZipTestWarnExplorer=0
didnt fix the problem.

Strange, i have 3 time the wincmd.ini on my HDD C:

1. C:\Windows
2. AppData/Roaming/Ghisler
3. Programs/TotalCmd

I add the line in all 3 files.

You can edit the wincmd.ini file directly by selecting menu option Configuration/Change Settings Files Directly.

Weird. It works for me when testing wget-1.21.4-win64.zip.

Do you have one [Packer] section in your wincmd.ini file?

For me ZipTestWarnExplorer=0 is also does work, from the first attempt.

Checked, i have only one [Packer] section.

Still not working for me.
