Updating the list of changes

The list of changes is divided over separate pages which are transcluded in this page. Each separate page contains all changes between two consecutive final releases. So wait for the next final release before adding newer changes.

Whenever a new final version has been released the newest changes can be found at http://www.ghisler.com/history.txt or in the file HISTORY.TXT in Total Commander's installation folder after installing the new final version.

To change the format of the changes:

  • add round brackets around all the dates at the beginning of the entries
  • for all entries indicating a release, add "===" in front of and behind the entry
  • for all other entries add "* " in front of the entry
  • encode all text otherwise interpreted as wiki or html code (be aware of characters like &, >, < and such)
  • create a new wiki page for the new changes. Look at the other lists of changes to find out what to name the page and what to add at the top and bottom of the page.
  • finally, edit List of changes and transclude the new page the same way it is done for the other transcluded pages.
