ListXP

ListXP is a text/unicode viewer for Windows which is very DOS-textmode like (originally it was ported to Windows from DOS version). It's freeware and has open source code. Features:

• Fast and small
• Advanced search including regex support
• Advanced "Follow tail" feature
• Syntax coloring for some file types

Note: It's outdated a little, since last version is dated 2004.
