Sometimes we need to watch file changes in real-time mode, for example to watch LOG file of an executing application.

Lister could has an option to be switched in auto-refresh mode (and option to switch this mode off respectively). Additional options of this mode could be:

  • refresh time (in seconds/miliseconds);
  • shift position automatically to: begining / end - to see changes immediately without manual scrolling (entries to log file can be added at the head or at the tail).

For instance, FAR Manager's file viewer and ATViewer have such feature.
