Hello I have created three (or better six- as for 3 each language) Templates for the backlinks.

[[template:backlink]]
for use as first backlink
[[template:back]]
if more than one site is linked to the article to provide a second or more backlinks
and [[template:de]] for linking to the german Wiki.
Since it is not much mor comfortable to use these templates it provides at least a unique look of the Wiki.
To use these templates simply insert:
'''<nowiki>{{backlink|Link to the upper level|Label to be displayed}}</nowiki>'''<BR>
'''<nowiki>{{back| second Link to the upper level|Label of the second link}}</nowiki>'''<BR>
why we have to use 2 parameters pls have a look at the 'discussion' of these templates.
'''<nowiki>{{de|Link to the german article}}</nowiki>'''

For the german Wiki are similar templates:
[[de:template:Rückverweis]]
[[de:template:Zurück]]
[[de:Template:en]]

To not always have to write it again you could use the [[de:template:Übersetzung|template:Übersetzung]]
Simply write

and you will get the site.
I editet the site for [[de:Eraser]] as example.

Hello I have created three (or better six- as for 3 each language) Templates for the backlinks.

template:backlink

for use as first backlink

template:back

if more than one site is linked to the article to provide a second or more backlinks

and template:de for linking to the german Wiki.

Since it is not much mor comfortable to use these templates it provides at least a unique look of the Wiki.

To use these templates simply insert:

{{backlink|Link to the upper level|Label to be displayed}}
{{back| second Link to the upper level|Label of the second link}}

why we have to use 2 parameters pls have a look at the 'discussion' of these templates.

{{de|Link to the german article}}

I replaced the site

For the german Wiki are similar templates:

Another Template

I created another template:

Stance has prepared a nice page wich points to the english site if there is no translation available yet.

To not always have to write it again you could use the

Simply write

{{Übersetzung|link to english page|link to upper level}}

and you will get the site.

I editet the site for as example.

Small bug in this template?

I tried to edit: "http://www.ghisler.ch/wikide/index.php?title=Dateilistensymbole"
with that code: {{Übersetzung|Dateilistensymbole|Konfiguration}}
and I received a wrong entry in "Other language" ->Supposed to be the english name: "Filelist icons"
not: englisch: http://www.ghisler.ch/wiki/index.php/Dateilistensymbole
Please check it out, anyway a fantastic Idea! Maybe I did something wrong? --Stance 10:41, 30 Sep 2005 (EST)

No bug, a feature ;-)

Maybe I did not explain clearly:

You need to find first the link to the english page and have to insert indeed

{{Übersetzung|Filelist icons|Konfiguration}}

How should the WIKI know where the related english page is? That you have to know.

BTW the idea is from Lefteous, I just had a look how to create and use templates.
